The journey of Unity Circle for Change begins with lived experience. As a veteran, I learned the value of service, resilience, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with others to achieve a greater mission. But long before wearing the uniform, I grew up in an underserved community where opportunities were scarce, and economic and social barriers often overshadowed potential.

My family’s struggles also shaped my path. I witnessed the challenges of loved ones battling kidney disease and other chronic illnesses, which opened my eyes to the gaps in healthcare, access, and support that so many families endure silently. These experiences instilled in me a deep conviction: no one should have to navigate hardship alone.

Unity Circle for Change was born from this calling to give back. Our mission is to empower and uplift people from all walks of life—especially those in underserved communities, veterans transitioning to civilian life, families impacted by chronic illness, and students pursuing technical and vocational education who deserve opportunities to thrive.

The “circle” in our name symbolizes wholeness, connection, and unity. It represents the belief that real change happens when communities come together, share resources, and support one another. This nonprofit is not just about service—it’s about creating a movement where compassion, equity, and opportunity are at the center of everything we do.
